At Clever Sprouts, we believe lunch should never be boring. We make lunch exciting for kids and easy for parents and schools. Think viral, kid-loved recipes reimagined with real ingredients, balanced nutrition, and bright flavors they actually want to eat.

To spark joy at the table with meals that are fun, creative, and packed with nutrition - giving kids something to look forward to and parents something they can trust.

Our story

Hi! I’m Tommy Corbett, founder of Clever Sprouts—a local dad, veteran, and former U.S. Merchant Mariner who’s worked in fast-moving startups. I started Clever Sprouts after seeing the gap between what kids love and what parents feel good about. We blend both: playful, trending recipes + thoughtful nutrition, cooked locally in the Lake Norman/Charlotte area and delivered to schools, teams, and community events.

Two sizes: Sprout (standard) and Big Sprout (hearty)
Rotating weekly menus that keep things fresh and seasonal

How ordering works

School or organization creates account. We partner to create menus.
Check this weeks menu. New selections rotate regularly.
Choose your size: Sprout or Big Sprout.
Add a note at checkout with student name, school, and any special instructions.
Pickup or school delivery. We coordinate with partner schools/events for smooth hand-off.

Our food philosophy

Flavor first: bold sauces, crisp veggies, satisfying textures
Real ingredients: lean proteins, whole grains where it fits, colorful produce
Smart swaps: lower added sugar; no artificial dyes in our added ingredients
Picky-eater friendly: familiar bases with optional add-ons/sauces on the side

Allergens & food safety

We take allergens seriously. Every menu lists common allergens, and we label items clearly. Our team holds ServSafe Manager certification and follows strict handling procedures. That said, we cook in a shared kitchen and cannot guarantee zero cross-contact. If you have questions or need a recommendation, please reach out.
